Bollywood or Pornlywood?

Monday, February 13, 2006
Just now watched "Mirchi Countdown" in Zoom. There was a total of 20 songs. Even though i dunno Hindi, i like hindi songs coz language no bar for me. I observed that around 10 songs had many similarities between them. Some party kind of atmosphere in a bar, 10 to 20 chicks dancing with almost nude dresses in colourful lights, some were accompanied with water splashing on their body, in the middle our hero or any other dude will be oraasifying them in the name of seducing dance, the beat and tune is completely foreign similar to the ones like Shaggy and Eminem. There were some exceptions like "Piya bole.." from Parineeta and "Rubaroo.." from RDB. One more thing was Aaashiq Banaya Aapne, i like the song much and i have never seen the original video of this song so far, today happenend to see it, Tanushree Dutta has worked very hard in this song, to expose her body. I was watching the video with Appa, after sometime he said "Vijai TV poduda" i understood why. Enna pannuvaar paavam. Before 4 or 5 years i used to watch Ftv and MCM stealthily, now i had to watch Hindi music channels in the same manner. :)) India is developing and soon it will be like western countries, not in politics and infrastructure but in spoilt culture, am not a Saamiyar or conservative guy and am not against glamorous songs but everything has a limit, and what bollywood is giving us now is an overdose of soft porn(not all movies). I am 23 yrs old and can watch these things and keep myself in control but think about a teen who is in his/her 7th or 8th std. they may lose control at any time because of videos like these....

P.S: i didnt get a chance to watch such videos in my 7th - 10th std. time period.

Disclaimer:
I am not against any movie or person jus posting my views generically thats all.

Periya Koil....

Saturday, February 11, 2006

I have already posted about my trip to Kumbakonam, posting some pics of Tanjore Brihadeeswara Temple. I felt very much proud to stand in the place where great ppl like Raja Raja Cholan has stood, walked etc. The temple was massive and well planned, i guess it can accomodate more than 5000 ppl inside.
The Nandi deserves a special mention carved out of single stone, it is superb and reflects the passion of our ancestors for Arts.

And one more thing visit this website Paritrana, you ll know why.

....but then......why trouble those innocent ones....come lets make them brothers and sisters

P.S: Got it as a forward.

The best way to answer....

Tuesday, February 07, 2006
And finally the MRF willow and the Genius who holds it had answered all the idiots of this nation who questioned his ability. This proves why he is a Genius. Even though we have not won the match coz of the stupid Duckworth Lewis method and even though the pitch was a batsman's paradise he has proved why he deserves a place in this team, with the 39th diamond in his crown. Long live the Genius......

The 2 wolves

Friday, February 03, 2006
One evening an old man told his grandson about a
battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2
"wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret,
greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false
pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"
scroll down....

The old man simply replied, "The one you feed."

Why the Hell????

Why the hell, does every media asks this question?
The question is "Is this the end of road for Sachin?". What has happened? Had Sachin got out for 0 in continuously 10 innings, had he gone blind? No, he has just failed to score in a match. And surprisingly 78% of the nation is saying "YES" this shows how Nandriketta makkal we are, remember that he is the one who saved the World Cup match with Pakistan in 2003. Am not saying that he shud be in the team even if he doesnt perform well, but look at his past records whenever the media has criticised him he shut their mouths with his bat. And he ll do the same this time too, no doubt. But the media shudnt have asked such a stupid question. Even other players didnt do well in this series but we dont blame them and curse them , Sachin is always ill treated by the media if he misses a half century, i wonder how these idiots expect a player to perform well in each and every match, considering cricket is a team game. The best player is the one who performs well for most of the time and the number of man of match awards speaks for Sachin. It is the fate of India that whether it is gud or bad we follow it with a exaggerated zeal and Sachin's form is no exception. I see many ppl speaking about "If Ponting doesnt play well they re chucking him out, why cant we", i wud like to tell only one thing to those "adhi medhaavis", you are not in Australia and your team is not as great as theirs, talk about something that suits our country instead of blindly following others. Sachin will be back and there is no necessity for him to get out of the team, if he doesnt deserve a place in the Indian team then who does? Dravid fans used to speak about his consistency but why didnt he perform well? It happens,it happens for everyone that they may fail sometimes. Am not against Dravid just quoted him as an example. The question shud' have been "Does Sachin needs a rest?" instead. Again politics prevented Dada from playing in 2 batting pitches were he would have proven himself like Sehwag,Dhoni etc. who have the habit of getting out if the ball doesnt come to bat.
