Ram's Perspective
Just another blog portraying a 23 year old software engineer's view on anything, everything and nothing

The best way to answer....

And finally the MRF willow and the Genius who holds it had answered all the idiots of this nation who questioned his ability. This proves why he is a Genius. Even though we have not won the match coz of the stupid Duckworth Lewis method and even though the pitch was a batsman's paradise he has proved why he deserves a place in this team, with the 39th diamond in his crown. Long live the Genius......

    I agree that the game played that day is well below his caliber. Gettin out in a NO ball happens in cricket and that cannot be said as a neagtive. We ll hope that he ll improve it in the second innings.
    @Ponnarasi
    Again i wud like to reiterate that it depends on personal interest.

  • Me too a sachin devotee. True, he may not be at his best. but lets not forget a half-best sachin can score a hundred at a strike rate of 90%.

    And regarding getting out to a no-ball, run out chances etc, thats how ODIs go. Its a mark of his greatness that he can convert the opportunities given.

    Even in 2003 worldcup, when India lost the first 2 matches, everyone at home was baying for his blood, but he redeemed the team's pride with some brilliant knocks right upto the final.

    And then people complained that he failed in the final:(

    psychopaths. they don't realise that it was bcos of him that we reached the finals in the first place.

    This consistency is a relative word too. Sachin should get a hundred in every match - that is the yardstick for his consistency.
    Nobody talks with the same yardstick for others.

    for eg sehwag y'day scored a 50 after 15 ODIs.
    Nobody complains abt sehwag.

    We'll realise this genius when he is gone.

    Well said we ll realise his genius when he is gone.( I mean from Cricket). Even now i dream about a stadium being named after Sachin, a major street in Mumbai named after him etc. this will happen for sure one day.
