I have already posted about my trip to Kumbakonam, posting some pics of Tanjore Brihadeeswara Temple. I felt very much proud to stand in the place where great ppl like Raja Raja Cholan has stood, walked etc. The temple was massive and well planned, i guess it can accomodate more than 5000 ppl inside.
The Nandi deserves a special mention carved out of single stone, it is superb and reflects the passion of our ancestors for Arts.

And one more thing visit this website Paritrana, you ll know why.

  • Nandhi picture is cool. I somehow like Nandhi a lot, it's probably because we get to whisper our wishes into his ears. I really enjoy that part. Am not sure if all the wishes came true but neverthless liked doing it :)

  • I usually do the wisphering into His ears, even now :)) Never crossed my mind to test. May be next time if I get to do it will remember to ask for something sensible and will let you if it really did work :)
