Justified!!!

Tuesday, April 11, 2006
The year was 1998, on a summer afternoon i had my English class, since we were CBSE we had some interactive sessions in our classes. My english mam Ranganaayaki told us that we ll be discussing a chapter on Brain drain (export of gud brains from India as soon as their education is over). She had brought one of her relatives to the class, that guy was a former IITian and a Phd holder from Michigan University who is working there. He spoke about many differences between the education system in USA and India, he didnt brag much. The class was over and we left usually, i thought that he is a "Nandri ketta jenmam", he learnt here in the best institution of the country and without contributing to his motherland he left abroad and works for the betterment of another nation by doing some research there. My life made me realise that he had made a correct decision to leave this country and i am a fool. I realised it a number of times, some of those were....

My engineering counselling-> i had only Chemical engg./Geo informatics in Anna University, the guy who came back 10 ranks after me was offered a better course in Anna Univ jus because he was born to a mother and father of some other caste.

When my friend who was so poor and perfectly eligible for scholarship from govt. was not given what he deserved just because he was born to a father and mother of BC, but other guys who are economically better than him got a scholarship because they are MBC.

A couple of days back when i heard that the govt. is planning for reservation in IITs and IIMs, now i strongly believe that guys like the one i have mentioned above are doing the right thing because they dont get what they deserve here in this country. The govt. has justified the actions of these guys.At the same time we should consider that tribal ppl do not get the same facilities as we do, so they definitely need a reservation to come up in their life and this reservation shud limit itself to ordinary institutions, but except for them reservation shud' be abolished(solli enna prayojanam).

If we are going to continue on the same path, India 2020 la mattum illa, 4040 la kooda ippadiye thaan irukkum. People who quote the Share market and cell phone revolution to argue that we are developing.please keep in mind that the development happening now is purely because of software boom and some foreign investments which will not be persistent. The true development happens only when there is no such discriminations based on caste, religion, language and all are treated equally.

Disclaimer: I am not against any caste or sect of this society nor i am against India.
Oru varuthapatta Indianoda feelings avlodhaan.

Do they have the Responsibility?

Friday, April 07, 2006
Over the last couple of days i watched all the famous news channels of India, there was a striking similarity between them, all channels displayed a real player Window in which a girl came with some fashion attire cat walked towards me, undersood that it was a fashion show(when i watched the first time), suddenly a part of the screen was blurred and her robe slipped from her body exposing her top. This has occured because of some silly mistake. But our News channels who brag that they re on par with International Biggies like CNN and BBC retelecast the same video again and again, i cud see the video around 15 times in the short span of around 1 hour.(Idhukkaagave okkarndhu paathiya nu nenakkaatheenga). In the name of "Freedom to express" thoughts, what are these ppl doing, relaying the same video again and again like a porn movie? If they really wanted to convey that such things shud not happen in future why play the same crap repeatedly? Some may claim that theyve blurred the video, what is the use of blurring? hiding something increases the curiosity among teens and even some grown ups to look what is behind? I dont mean to say that they have to play the clip without blurs. They cud have avoided broadcasting this clip, a flash news or just words cud have been enough.Instead these ppl are trying to increase the viewership count of their respective channels by broadcasting the clip. Is this what they claim as social responsibilty? The same happens for rape cases etc. but eventhough rape itself is unfortunate, fortunately rapists do not record what they do otherwise these ppl will broadcast those videos with some light smudges, claiming that theyve hidden the awkward part of the video. My grandma used to say "Oru sinna punnu irundhaa adha appdiye vittudu thaana aaridum, adha vittu romba nondinaa, perissayidum" i cud not avoid comparing what has happened in former case with this saying. With all such mistakes what is the use of vetti arguments like "Who will replace sachin?" "Will this dog piss today?" etc. Vetti scene thaan.....

Another news i heard was that Govt. is gonna probe into this matter, do they think that she might have done it delibrately? In my opinion it will not be true. If the government decides to stop such accidents(or incident) in future it can penalise the Show designer and organiser financially instead of probing into such things. So that models and designers will take care while designing for shows.

Movie spree!!!

Sunday, April 02, 2006
Last week was unusual in my life yes i watched 4 movies in 6 days inspite of my office work. Thanks to my cousin.
Pattiyal

Inspired from pithamagan, but the movie has lots of thenavettu, i mean the scenes in which Arya and Bharath murder ppl. Arya has done well in his comic role, Padmapriya has done well too, but she surprised me with her exposures, bedroom scenes. Maybe the character requires this, so she might have done it. Songs are not so gud, BGM is great and the movie has too much of violence.Ilaiyaraj has sung after a break, "namma kaatula malai peyudhu.." was gud.

Thambi

Dialogues are great eg. "Lanjam vaanginen ulle pottaargal, lanjam koduthen veliye vittargal", Pooja looks cute, story is a bit different except for the Pudhiya Geethai style climax. Maddy does over acting and really looks MADdy :-)). The songs "Summa kedantha..." and "Sudum veyil ..." are gr8.

Kalaabak Kaadhalan

Ulta of Vaali and Aasai, but the new girl has performed well, movie has some steamy scenes and mugam silikka vaikkum dialogues(not 4 me but 4 my elders), climax is gud and movie ends with a tragedy. Music is medium Arya has done well.

Sithiram Pesudhadi
Already told much about it.

P.S: Might resemble some telegram, ella padathayum vivarama solla porumai illa :-)
