Ram's Perspective
Just another blog portraying a 23 year old software engineer's view on anything, everything and nothing

The other side of outsourcing!!!

Been almost half year since i have blogged. Didnt feel like blogging from within. Some incident in my office just prompted me to write this. I am in Nederlands. Before few days 2 of team mates got relieved and returning back to their parent company, both of them are Dutch and so is their company. As usual there was a farewell, every one offered their gud wishes, even though we were the only 2 Indians in the team and just 2 weeks old, we proceeded to greet him. He said some simple things in his broken English, here goes the words "Hi Ram, You come from India, i go out, you replace me" and laughed. I felt so embarrased.
Just penning down the thoughts that came to my mind, assume that we are working in India for a client, life is fine. Suddenly one fine day can the client says that, i can go back to my parent company just because a person from a country behind India economically has agreed to work for few more hours than i do at half my salary.
Will we be in a position to welcome such people? but if i feel like this and think in such a way i wont be able to do my work, it happens everywhere.
Already something similar to this situation is happening now, IT biggies have started recruiting science graduates instead of engineers, one of the main reasons for this is have the work done in lesser salary, leaving apart the debate of whether or not it is a gud move, i suspect that all of the engineering community wud be able to appreciate this initiative.
