The INDIAN attitude!!!

Monday, March 26, 2007
Usually we Indians have an attitude of exaggerating things, going overboard for silly matters. Whether it is cricket(Sachin) or cinema (Rajini). Even i cant avoid it, am an Indian too. Why this thought has come to my mind now? The past weeks of World Cup fever. We exaggerated the normal Indian team, now we are going overboard when they have lost and let us down. Being and ardent fan of Sachin, i expected that he ll play the game of his lifetime. He played the Game of his Life, but it was the Worst Game of his life. Initially after seeing the Srilanka match i was very angry towards him, i cursed the whole team including Sachin. I maintained the same stance till i read this. This made me think that how he must have felt bad for letting down billion of our hopes and faith. How ashamed he must have been. Cud do nothing but feel pity for him. All of us are accusing them of not playing well, failing etc. But are we doing the right thing? Cricket is just a game and we are treating it like a Kargil War. This attitude of our fans creates more pressure on them and spoils their psyche thinking about the effect of failing. The same kinda pressure is not given to Aussies or other western countries. Only their board screws them if they lose. See here in India how foolish we are, burning effigies, throwing chappals, damaging their properties etc. It is we who make them mentally unfit for playing with our pressure and hype. Another important matter in which cricketers are accused is the Ads. Why do the companies approach them. It is because of us. We prefer PEPSI over Coke just because our favourite player prefers the same. But we forget what suits us the best. Again this is the over exaggerating attitude of our people. It is high time we realise that we treat a game as a game. The fucking media adds fuel to the fire, they are the ones who spoil everything.

If they lose we shud criticise them but not hurt them. India will win the World Cup only when the fans become rational enough to ease the pressure on the players, we require a change of attitude.

P.S: I am trying to change mine but it is not so easy.......

We listen to many songs everyday, but some remain close to our heart. There are some music directors who are gifted with providing such songs. The foremost is our Ilayaraja. Many of his songs are evergreen and can touch your heart. Apart from the lyrics his tunes provide a separate language for the feel of that song. Once such song is "Thenpandi thamizhe" from Paasa paraviagal. This song is about Brother, Sister affection. The genius has provided an excellent tune that conveys this emotion. The voice of KJYesudass will be like a caring brother and the Chitra's modulation and voice denotes an affectionate sister. Hear this to feel it.

The video also will be superb, Sivakumar and Radhika had done absolute justice to this tune by the maestro. Nowadays how many songs does have emotions like this. Tamil is full of Gaana and Kuthu crap, hindi is full of remix crap. Whenever i listen to these kinda songs i feel "Indha maadhiri paatukkal inime varuma"?
